BOARD

PRESIDENT

VLADIMIR GREPL

Vladimir has held senior executive and managerial positions across community services, strategic planning and governance, most recently in two metropolitan local government agencies. As a Board member since the start of 2023, Vladimir brings strategic insight and operational experience to WADCC. He also brings empathy and a commitment to supporting individuals, families and communities, particularly those that are vulnerable as recipients of community services or carers.

Vladimir holds and Honours degree in Humanities and a Master of Social Planning and Development, an applied social science degree. Retired since 2020 and settled in the Southern Highlands, he enjoys bushwalking, visual arts and volunteering with local community organisations. He is also learning to tend a veggie patch and fruit trees.

VICE PRESIDENT

MARYKE ARCHBOLD-HESSION

Maryke has lived in the Southern Highlands for over 35 years. Prior to retiring, Maryke worked for 20 years in Education with the Department of Primary Industries as well as in various roles in the Tourism and Hospitality Industries. Retirement has allowed Maryke to concentrate on community volunteering and she has given her time and expertise in many areas, including working with people and children with disabilities, executive positions in the CWA and fundraising for CanAssist. Maryke originally joined the WADC fundraising committee and became a full Board Member in 2020. Maryke’s interest are bushwalking, health, travel, reading and the Arts. She enjoys fine food & wine and spending time with family and friends. Maryke joined the WADCC Board in 2020.

SECRETARY

JUDY JONES

Judy has a strong administrative, quality assurance, training and governance background having worked in both private and public sectors, as well as NFP organisations. On relocating to the Southern Highlands and retiring from full-time work in 2019, Judy was invited to join the Bard of WADCC. Judy saw this as a way of “giving back” in response to the care given to her parents over many years by various aged-care support organisations. She is also actively involved as a member of the Management Committee for U3A Southern Highlands.

TREASURER

DENNIS NEALE, JP

Dennis grew up in country NSW and has a banking and small business background. He worked with the Rural Bank for over 20 years and owned and operated a Newsagency on the Northern Beaches before becoming a Property Manager for high rise buildings in Sydney and the Gold Coast. Now retired, Dennis enjoys golf, gardening and looking after his 6 grandchildren. Dennis joined the WADCC Board in 2020.

BOARD MEMBER

NANETTE TAYLOR

Nanette has lived in the Highlands for the past 24 years and has held senior management roles in Hospital Food, Volunteer, Food Safety, Project and Change Management Services in acute, aged care and rehabilitation teaching hospitals in both NSW and ACT Health over the past 40 years. Nanette has qualifications in Hospital and Hotel Management, Commercial Cookery, Project Management, Food Safety and a Master Degree in Business Management. Now retired, Nanette continues to pursue and promote the latest trends in improving healthcare services for dementia and aged care clients via the Institute of Hospitality in Healthcare and Dementia Australia, in addition to volunteering with WADC and Red Cross. Nanette joined the WADCC Board in 2020.

LISA HOGGARD

Lisa’s background includes a strong and diverse career over 30 years as a learning and development professional across a range of industry sectors including community services and health, banking, finance, engineering and insurance. This has included 15 years as the Principal consultant within her Australian based consultancy and senior management roles within the Aged Care industry. Lisa holds a number of qualifications including a Bachelor of Social Studies and a Masters in Adult Education. Lisa has recently retired and looks forward to contributing her expertise in workforce development, needs analysis, project management and change management. She is passionate about supporting seniors to live their best life. She is also enjoying retired life in the Highlands, including volunteering with Moss Vale Community Garden, enjoying the great wine and hospitality in the area, travel, gardening, book club, live music and theatre. Lisa joined the Board in April 2024.

MANAGEMENT

EXECUTIVE OFFICER

ELEANOR SAINSBURY B.Com. (UOW)

Eleanor has lived in the Wingecarribee Shire for over 20 years. Eleanor joined WADCC in 2006 as the Financial Officer and was appointed the Executive Officer in 2022. Prior to joining WADCC, she was the Expenditure Accountant for Wingecarribee Shire Council. Eleanor has also worked for numerous small businesses in the local area, including a property developer, wine maker, transport business and several tradesmen. Her Bachelor of Commerce degree included majors in Accountancy & Management. Eleanor is incredibly passionate about the services that Wingecarribee Adult Day Care Centres provide, understanding that we are here to maintain life skills, provide companionship and purpose for clients, and much needed respite for carers.

FINANCIAL OFFICER

LYNNE SCHERER

Lynne joined WADCC in 2022, bringing with her 22 years of experience as Financial Controller & Management Accountant in a Registered Club, 7 years’ experience in Public Accounting and 11 years’ experience in the Legal Profession. Lynne holds a Diploma in Accounting and is a Registered Justice of the Peace. Relocating to the Southern Highlands in 2011 to enjoy semi-rural living, Lynne’s interests include travel, sewing, fitness, reading and gardening. Lynne holds family and friends close which gives Lynne an understanding and appreciation of the importance of the services WADCC offer.
